Clouded Whisper landed, her claws clincking on the ground. She let out a loud call to her mate, Aska. There she sat waiting, cleaning herself with her tongue.

A loud cry rang through the ears of a light dragon. Excitement rushed through his body. Mithos! She's back! Cloud is back! Aska turned to his partner. He wanted to go meet up with her.
Mithos smiled to his partner. He understood exactly how he felt. How could he not; he is bonded with him. I will stay here and keep post, while you go meet up with your mate. If you need me, then just use our new power. I will find you. He waved his hand in a circular motion. A large portal appeared infront of the two. Aska smirked Was that really necessary? he asked. Mithos only laughed and replied Not really. Just go. I've got this under control.
Aska walked through the portal. Seconds later, he was infront of his mate. He let out a cry that could be heard throughout half of the forest. He waited for his mate's reaction.

Cloud turned and smiled, her sapphire-blue eyes sparkling. "It's been a long time." She said. She gave him a hug.

Aska smiled. He embraced his mate. "It truly has been a long time," he said. He let go, and stepped back. "Do you notice anything different about me and this place around us?" he asked. His eyes were shining a pure, light blue. He waited for her reply.

Cloud steped back, a frown in her features. "You're eyes...."

Aska looked at her. Had he done something wrong? "What is troubling you my mate? Have I displeased you?" he asked. He thought about it. His eyes had changed. His powers had grown as well. He could not help his eyecolor anymore than he could his bond with Mithos. He held her in his warm embrace and whispered to her, "My eyes may have changed, but my love for you stayed the same."

Clouded nodded and burst into tears. The pearly white liquid poured down her scales. "I'm sorry...."

Aska stood there. He held her in his embrace. "It's ok," he said softly. He continued to hold her.

"No it isn't......" She sobbed. She flicked her tail.

Aska had a confused look on his face. He did not understand why it was not ok. He turned and let her go. "What is not ok? You know and I know that we can work out any problems. Tell me what is wrong," he said. He waited for her reply.

Clouded said nothing. She unfolded her wings and hide behind them. She didn't want to face him.

Aska, still puzzled, walked over to Cloud. "What is troubling you mate? I can see that there is something wrong." he said. "You can tell me anything." He waited for her reply.

Cloud didn't say anything, still crying under her wings. She bit her lip.

Aska backed away from his mate. 'Have I really changed that much?' he thought to him self. He couldn't breath. He lowered his head. A tear fell from his face. It hit the ground. Once it touched the ground, the entire forest began to tremble. The mana around the trees turned black. Aska opened a portal to the part of the Bonding forest where Mithos resides. He escaped through it. " Solong....... my love...." he said.

Cloud looked at him, her wings parting a little. She sighed and turned. She let out a horse cry, of her sorrow and misery.
